Fremont vs West Field Football Rivalry
Regional
West Field opened in Taylor for 2024-25 and was built almost entirely out of Fremont's boundary — the Standard-Examiner reports that Fremont "accounted for more than 80% of West Field's incoming 1,200 students," with more transfers from Roy.
How it started
West Field opened in Taylor for 2024-25 and was built almost entirely out of Fremont's boundary — the Standard-Examiner reports that Fremont "accounted for more than 80% of West Field's incoming 1,200 students," with more transfers from Roy. That is a textbook rivalry precondition. It is not yet a rivalry, and no source calls it one.
The games that made it
In year one West Field was placed in 4A Region 11 with Bear River and the Cache County schools — geographically remote from its own feeder community — and did not play Fremont in region. It has since moved to 5A Region 5. There is no series yet.
Where it stands
5A Region 5.
What we could not find
The first West Field-Fremont meeting. Until then this is structural, not a rivalry, and the page should say so.
